San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato Tour
February 24 - March 2, 2020 Register now »
Set along the Sierra Madre Mountains in central Mexico, the magical city of San Miguel de Allende, whose origins date back to the16th-century, is a travel photographer’s dream.
You’ll be dazzled by brilliantly colored buildings lining narrow cobblestone streets. Come enjoy and photograph the walkways, Baroque architecture and artisan shops of this 500 year-old colonial city. In addition to San Miguel de Allende, we'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Guanajuato; a beautiful mountain town with its own vibrant, multi-colored houses and narrow walkways.
You’ll fall in love with these cities; both safe, warm, peaceful, enchanting and welcoming. And, our timing should be perfect for the area’s spring blossoms especially the jacaranda tree with its clouds of purple. We’ll explore both cities on-foot taking occasional breaks including lunch. We won't be in a hurry and we can move as a group or split up and meet at a designated location. Terry and George are there to guide and to teach. The weather should be dry with daytime temperatures in the high-seventies and around fifty degrees at night.
Our tour begins in Guanajuato on Monday, February 24 then transferring by van to San Miguel de Allende on February 27 ending there Sunday night, March 1. So, we'll be spending three nights in Guanajuato and four in San Miquel de Allende. This is a “turnkey” tour with all expenses for lodging and meals from a welcoming dinner on February 24 to our farewell dinner on March 1 to breakfast the morning of March 2.
